Anthony G. Thies

Associate Attorney

Anthony (Tony) Thies is a litigation associate practicing in the areas of labor & employment, business & commercial litigation, construction disputes & litigation, general litigation, and appellate practice. With a background as an appellate law clerk, Tony understands the importance of diligently handling a case from its inception through final resolution. 

Originally from Randolph, Nebraska, Tony attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for undergraduate and spent five years as a high school teacher and coach before attending law school. Tony earned his J.D. in 2025 from Creighton University School of Law where he graduated summa cum laude with a concentration in litigation. In law school, Tony received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Legal Research & Writing III, Professional Responsibility, Administrative Law, Sports Law, and Advanced Trial Practice. Tony was also a member of the Creighton Law Review during law school.

Preparing for a career in litigation, Tony was part of Creighton’s ABA Arbitration Team and Advanced Trial Team, competing in regional competitions with each. At graduation, Tony was awarded the David A. Svoboda Trial Advocacy Award, which recognizes excellence in trial advocacy and an understanding of the professional responsibility of the legal profession.

Outside of work, Tony enjoys golfing, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife, young daughter, and hound dog.
