Sarah is a seasoned litigator, bringing over 13 years of experience to help her clients solve their toughest problems. Sarah’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, including construction and real estate disputes, representing contractors, developers, business owners, and professionals across the Midwest. As a Partner at Guinan O’Siochain Law Group, she advises clients through every stage of litigation—from pre-suit strategy and risk management through trial and appeal—appearing regularly in both federal and state courts in Nebraska and Iowa.
An experienced litigator, Sarah knows that no two cases are the same, which is why she strives to identify the unique aspects of each client, how they think, and what drives their decision-making. From there, she tailors her strategy and creative approach to think multiple steps ahead with the goal of obtaining the best possible outcome for her clients. Her practice covers a wide range of disputes, including construction defects, delay and disruption claims, contract disputes, mechanic’s liens, lease disputes, employment litigation, business torts, partnership disputes, professional liability defense, and insurance-related litigation. She also has substantial experience resolving matters through arbitration and mediation. She frequently handles cases involving technical and scientific issues, working with expert witnesses in the medical, engineering, accounting, finance, and insurance fields. Sarah enjoys diving in to learn the details of her client’s industry, not only to gain the upper hand in the case but also to work towards an outcome that is in the best interest of her client’s business.
In Sarah’s prior roles, Sarah has handled commercial and insurance litigation for clients regionally and nationwide. She has also served on artificial intelligence and recruiting committees and played an active role in attorney development and mentorship.
Sarah has also worked as in-house counsel, serving as Assistant General Counsel for a $3.4 billion multi-state green energy project, managing complex litigation and regulatory issues, including construction and permitting matters spanning five states. This role sharpened her ability to navigate legal challenges in large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
Sarah earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law, where she completed a Litigation Concentration and ranked in the top 5 of her class. She was president of the Moot Court Board and a member of the Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude from Creighton University with concentrations in economics and music.
In 2015, Sarah was honored with the Nebraska Defense Counsel Association’s “Rising Star” Award. Sarah is a member of the Legislative Committee and serves on the House of Delegates for the Nebraska State Bar Association, where she helps shape policy and support the legal profession statewide. She also serves her community as a member of the School Board at Mary Our Queen Catholic School.
When she is not in the courtroom, Sarah can be found traveling, trying to keep up with her three energetic kids, enjoying new local restaurants with her husband, or cheering on her Creighton bluejays.
